JEXPO Counselling 2019 – West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development will conduct counselling of JEXPO 2019 for admission to diploma polytechnic courses in the state tentatively from June 17.
The first phase of JEXPO 2019 counselling will be conducted online and will have four rounds.
The second phase, however, will be manual round and be held for filling vacant seats.
To participate in online counselling, JEXPO applicants need to get a registered post which they can participate in the choice filling.
The allotment of seats during JEXPO counselling 2019 will be based on both the merit rank of the candidate and choices opted.
Candidates who have been allotted seats may either opt for auto-upgradation or accept the allotted seats.

A total of around 19,000 self-financed seats will be offered through JEXPO 2019 counselling.
The first phase of JEXPO 2019 counselling will be conducted online and will have four rounds.

Step One- Registration:
To start the registration the candidates have to click on the registration link, that will be updated here once registration process opens, and after that follow the following steps:

Click on New Registration tab

Enter Enrollment number of JEXPO 2019 and Index number

Click on Proceed button
-
An OPT will be generated and sent to the registered mobile number of the candidate
-
Enter the OTP
-
Edit personal details, if necessary
-
Select a password
Step Two – Student Login
The candidate will be able to login to the newly created by using the enrollment number and password
Step Three – Choice Filling
After logging in, the candidate will be able to pick choices (the combination of institute and course). It is recommended to enter as many choices as possible to maximize one’s chances of admission or being offered a preferred seat. Finally, lock the entered choices before the last date. Please note, once the choices are locked, they cannot be edited.
Step Four- Allotment of Seats
The allotment of JEXPO 2019 seats will be declared online and will be based on the merit rank of the candidate and choices opted for admission. Candidates who have been allotted seats will have the option of participating in auto-upgradation or accept the allotted seat. However, the auto-upgradation facility can be availed only if the candidate is not offered a first prioritized seat.
The result of JEXPO 2019 seat allotment will also be sent to the registered mobile number of the candidate.

Step Five – Printing of allotment letter
If the candidate wants to accept the allotted seat, he or she has to take a printout of the Final Allotment Letter cum Money Receipt.
However, for participating in auto upgradation, the candidate has to take the printout of the Provisional Allotment Letter cum Money Receipt instead.
Step 6 – Reporting for document verification
There are two cases:
Case 1 – Candidate opting for auto-upgradation

Candidates in this category need to take two printouts of the Provisional Allotment Letter cum Money Receipt and report at a designated Reporting Centers (RCs) within the given schedule.

The provisional seat booking fee of Rs. 2000. It has to be paid in cash at the centre for validation of allotted seats. This fee will be refunded to the candidate after admission by the allotted institute.

There will, however, be no verification of original testimonials.
-
After payment of the fee and successful validation, the candidate has to wait for the next phase of seat allotment.

In case, in a subsequent phase (s) of JEXPO seat allotment, if the candidate is offered a higher prioritized seat, then the seat allotted in the earlier round will automatically get canceled.

However, if the candidate doesn’t get a higher prioritized seat then the seat originally allotted will still remain booked.
Case 2 – Candidate doesn’t want to opt for auto-upgradation and want to accept the allotted seat

In this case, the candidate needs to take the printout of the Final Allotment Letter cum Money Receipt and report at the allotted institute. At the time of reporting, the candidate must submit originals of all essential documents and also pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 500 in cash.

Admission related fee has to be paid separately at the time of admission.

Details related to the last date of final admission will be printed on the Allotment Letter

Documents Required for Admission
Candidates should bring the given documents at the time of admission.
- 10th or equivalent examination Admit Card
- 10th or equivalent examination Mark Sheet
- JEXPO Admit Card 2019
- Category Certificate
- Two copies of Printout of the Allotment Letter cum Money Receipt
- Medical Fitness Certificate
- Filled-in Anti Ragging Affidavit

If after completion of online counselling rounds there are vacant seats left, a special offline counselling will be conducted to fill these seats. This manual JEXPO 2019 counselling round will be open to only those candidates who weren’t offered any seats in the online counselling process. Nevertheless, the allotment of seats will be based on the JEXPO 2019 merit rank only.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to fulfill the following eligibility criteria in order to attend JEXPO Counselling 2019.
- Candidates must be a citizen of India.
- Candidate’s date of birth should not be after 1st July 2003.
- There is no upper age limit.
- Students must have passed 10th or its equivalent examination with English, Physical Science/Science, and Mathematics from any recognized board.
- In the qualifying exam, candidates should have obtained a minimum 35% aggregate (without additional subjects).
- Appearing candidates can also apply.
Seat Reservation
Under JEXPO, approximate 12,000 numbers of seats available in government polytechnics. The reservations of seats for various categories are given below:
