The newspaper today has become part and parcel of modern life. It is hard to think of a modern age without a newspaper. It may be digital or physical newspaper.

The newspaper, the mirror of the world, carries us news from home to abroad. We know the world in the twinkling, of an eye we go through newspapers every day. There are newspapers of games and sports, the cinema, science, history, geography, art, literature and also news on social, political and economic interest. The newspapers carry news for everyone businessmen, politician, unemployed people, players, kids etc. In a word, it contains all sorts of news covering every aspect of human life in society.

A newspaper not only makes people aware of views and policies of Government but also of their right. It keeps the Government informed of wishes, desires, grievances, resentment, and aspiration of the people. Newspapers keep us in constant touch with news, development, advances, changes, sorrows, and sufferings of each nook and widen our interest and increase our knowledge on the various corner of the world and at a very little price to the reader. By reading the newspaper, one may gradually develop his power of self-expression and judging what is right and what is wrong. Thus they have a great educative value.

It is unfortunate that some newspapers are often influenced by party feelings and mislead the public. However, without showing blind loyalty to any political party and getting itself rid of vested interest, a newspaper should analyze an incident and publish news from an impartial point of views.
